The parent lab

Tomorrow Labs

An applied research & design lab for a more equitable digital world. MissionAssist is how that work reaches the organizations who need it most.

Origin

It started with a library that worked offline.

Years of traveling and working in underserved communities made one thing impossible to ignore: the digital divide isn’t only about access to the internet — it’s about access to tools, knowledge, and technology built for your language, culture, and context.

The first answer was a little digital library that brought learning to places with no reliable connection. Tomorrow Labs grew out of that work — a decade of building digital capacity for mission-driven organizations, and a conviction that the groups doing the most good deserve the best tools, not the leftovers.

What the lab does

Research and design, in service of impact.

Applied research

Studying how mission-driven organizations can actually use technology — including AI — to advance their work.

Design & build

Turning that research into real tools, built for real budgets and measured against real outcomes.

Capacity, not dependence

Everything is aimed at growing an organization’s own ability — we succeed when they need us less.

“The organizations doing the most good have the least to work with. That’s the gap we exist to close.”

The practice is called MissionAssist.

It’s how Tomorrow Labs works directly with nonprofits, B-corps, and social enterprises — from a free readiness Scorecard to an embedded partnership.
